Managed Web Hosting Terms

These terms supplement the Silurian General Service Terms for each managed web-hosting service ordered through Silurian.

1. Service and infrastructure supplier

Silurian sells, invoices, supports and manages the service shown in the order. The underlying hosting infrastructure is supplied by OVH HISPANO, S.L., calle Alcalá 21, 5ª, 28014 Madrid, Spain and may use other OVHcloud group companies for the selected service location. The Customer accepts the current OVHcloud contractual conditions incorporated for the infrastructure, including the applicable web-hosting, acceptable-use and data-processing terms.

2. Order, activation and domain

The order records the Silurian plan reference, primary domain, selected options, first-term price, renewal price and billing interval. Payment does not by itself prove provider activation. Silurian reviews and submits the provider order separately and activates the Customer product only after the delivered hosting reference has been reconciled. The Customer represents that it controls or is authorised to configure every attached domain and remains responsible for registrar, DNS and third-party domain charges not expressly included in the order.

3. First term, renewal and options

A promotional first annual term may differ materially from the recurring annual renewal. Checkout shows both amounts before acceptance, and the recurring subscription records the renewal amount rather than repeating the promotional first-term price. Purchase-only options are charged once; recurring options renew only when the order identifies them as recurring. Future provider or scope changes affect a later renewal only after the notice or acceptance required by the agreement and applicable law.

4. Access, applications and licences

The Customer is responsible for its websites, source code, databases, users, passwords, application updates, extensions, themes, licences and publishing instructions unless a separate managed-development or maintenance service states otherwise. One-click application installation simplifies deployment but does not transfer ownership, licensing, patching or content responsibility to Silurian.

5. Shared resources and fair use

Web hosting uses shared or logically allocated platform resources. Storage, databases, processes, traffic acceleration, email, CPU, memory and concurrent connection limits follow the selected plan. The Customer must not deliberately evade limits, degrade other tenants, run prohibited workloads or use the service as bulk storage, an attack platform or an unrelated compute service. Silurian may ask the Customer to optimise or move a workload that persistently exceeds the ordered profile.

6. Abuse, security and compliance

The Customer must prevent and promptly remedy malware, phishing, spam, unlawful content, infringement, credential compromise, vulnerable software and other abuse involving the service. The Customer will maintain responsive technical and abuse contacts and cooperate with reasonable evidence requests. Silurian or the infrastructure supplier may filter, isolate, suspend or terminate resources when reasonably required to contain risk, comply with law or provider policy, address non-payment or protect the platform.

7. Backups and recovery

Hosting snapshots, database dumps, version control and provider restoration functions are operational aids, not a substitute for independent tested backups. The Customer must keep separate copies of data it cannot afford to lose unless the order expressly includes a managed backup service with a stated retention and restoration commitment. Restore operations may overwrite current content and must be requested or confirmed through the guarded management workflow.

8. Availability and changes

Only the service level expressly identified in the order applies. Maintenance, attacks, Customer code, third-party applications, DNS, Internet paths and events outside reasonable control may affect availability. Platform versions, runtimes and deprecated features can change for security or lifecycle reasons; Silurian will provide the notice reasonably available for changes that require Customer action.

9. Data and privacy

The selected service location determines the primary hosting region shown in the order. Silurian and the infrastructure supplier process account data, technical logs, support data and hosted content only as needed to provide, secure, support, bill and operate the service and as described in the applicable privacy and data-processing terms. The Customer remains responsible for its own privacy notices, lawful basis, retention and end-user rights.

10. Suspension, export and termination

Non-payment, abuse, security risk, legal obligation or material breach may lead to restriction or suspension. Before termination, the Customer must export websites, databases, mail and configuration it wishes to retain. Access and data may be removed after the notified retention period, subject to legal preservation duties. Silurian remains the Customer's contractual and first support interface for the ordered service.
